Aggrey Muhando

Senior Field Supervisor

I currently hold the esteemed position of Senior Field Supervisor at Research PLUS Africa, where I am entrusted with overseeing and coordinating data collection for diverse research projects from inception to completion. With nearly three decades of experience in the research industry, my journey began as a Field Interviewer in 1993 and has since evolved, propelling me through the ranks to assume Team Leadership and ultimately Pan Africa Project Coordinator roles.

My area of expertise lies in managing the entire field research process, commencing from meticulous team selection to formulating precise field budgets. I take charge of team training, ensuring that all field staff members are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to execute their tasks with utmost proficiency. Before launching into full-scale fieldwork, I conduct rigorous field pilots to fine-tune methodologies and address potential challenges proactively.

As a dedicated professional, my primary objective is to ensure that every research project yields timely and high-quality data while adhering to reasonable field budgets. I am well-versed in monitoring and maintaining strict quality control measures throughout the entire fieldwork process. Each day, I provide comprehensive debriefs and updates to keep stakeholders informed of progress and developments. Moreover, I closely monitor sample and quota achievements to ascertain that research objectives are met with precision.

My proficiency in the research domain has equipped me to compile detailed field reports, encapsulating key findings and insights. Additionally, I actively participate in end of project debrief meetings, contributing valuable recommendations and actionable insights from a data collection perspective.

In the course of my career, I have been privileged to work across a diverse array of African nations, including Ethiopia, Chad, Gabon, Democratic Republic of Congo, Congo Brazzaville, Malawi, Zambia, Burkina Faso, Sierra Leone, Ghana, Tanzania, Uganda, Niger, Rwanda, Burundi, Cote d’Ivoire, Nigeria, and Kenya. This broad exposure has granted me an extensive understanding of various norms and cultures across the continent, which resonates well with my personal interest in traveling.

Beyond my professional pursuits, I am a devoted reader of religious texts, particularly the Word of God. This practice not only enriches my spiritual life but also contributes to my overall personal growth and perspective.
