My role as the Human Resource Officer is to develop a robust HR system for Research PLUS. I have been in HR Administration for 10 years and part of this role requires looking out for the best interests of the organization while creating a positive experience for employees in their career journey. For the past six months I have been involved in improving, updating, and strengthening the company’s recruitment and onboarding process. A significant percentage of my time has also been spent rewriting the HR manual and setting up the performance management system.
This role allows me to also use my listening skills, take a genuine interest in others and exercise my quirky sense of humour as I support both employees and management to accomplish the organization’s goals. I am fascinated by people’s career journeys and their motivation; and so, I look forward to using my skills as a certified life coach to offer perspective and clarity for the employees to thrive in their careers and the workplace.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading and solving problems – which is why I do a crossword every day.
