Being an Operations and Administration manager means juggling a whole range of spinning plates and constantly trying to make sure one doesn’t drop. It seems like a lot of hats to wear but stepping into a role that “makes things happen” and multiplying the productivity of everyone else in the organization is incredible! My work entails planning and coordinating administrative procedures and systems and devising ways to streamline processes. I ensure that the day-to-day operations of Research PLUS run smoothly. I am also responsible for identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies in processes and implementing solutions to improve them. I also oversee the field team and I’m in charge of guiding, monitoring, and leading the entire group. I’m responsible for communicating company goals, safety practices, and deadlines with designated teams. It is also my duty to motivate the team and assess their performance and evaluation. That’s basically my role at Research PLUS: “making things happen”. Luckily, I’m obsessed with staying organized and making everyone’s life easier. It brings me genuine joy to take the burden off everyone!
I am a high-performing human resources and operations management professional with over 12 years’ experience supporting and delivering results in human resources, project management and operations departments. I have contributed positively to the growth and management of these departments, whilst making objective decisions regarding people management, operational efficiency, and project delivery within Kenya and across borders. For me, it’s all about creating, whether I’m dealing with vendors, collaborating with my colleagues, planning, budgeting, onboarding new staff, organizing, customer care, running the office, etc.
Outside of work, I’m actually not that serious 😊 I like to have fun by doing the things I love the most, but spending time with my family is top-most. I also love drawing and painting, calligraphy, blogging and playing table tennis. One of my other passions is traveling. I really love exploring the world to see different cultures, different ways of life and different mentalities. I hope I will do it more often in the future.
